Project Overview

The goal of the Arctic All-Hazard GIS Platform is to provide the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) with an adaptable webGIS interface for displaying, informing, and disseminating data to users from various communities. The project will provide a state-of-theart commercial geovisualization web application by using ESRI's ArcGIS Online format. This project blends basic cartographic design with applied research for implementing a webGIS application that will use technologies and methods which comply with the DHS S&T prototype Integrated Maritime Domain Enterprise (IMDE). The application will be built to align with the existing requirements within the Geospatial Information Infrastructure (GII) under the Geospatial Management Office (GMO) and the Homeland Security Information Network (HSIN) infrastructure. The project will result in an Arctic webGIS application that is driven by USCG mission needs and requirements.
